I was interested in trying Vaseline’s Intensive Rescue Clinical Therapy lotion because I’ve used other Vaseline lotions before and I really liked them. I was curious to see how this compared to the original Intensive Rescue line. Also, it being winter, it was time to amp up the moisturizing.
I’ve been using the Intensive Rescue Clinical Therapy lotion for weeks now and I noticed a difference within days of starting out. My skin just felt better. It didn’t feel dry and stretched out like skin can during the winter. I even stopped itching all over. Now my skin is soft and smooth even in the coldest and driest part of winter. My elbows are smooth, my hands are soft, and my feet aren’t cracked. It’s great!
I tried both the unscented and lightly fragranced lotions.

The 2009 Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) confirmed it is a key event in the profession’s calendar, as the major customers of the 17 exhibiting brands travelled to Geneva for this first-ever January edition of the Show. This year, as in previous years, the extraordinary expertise of these brands was on display, as much through the technical and aesthetic innovation captured in their timepieces as in the unique craftsmanship behind each one. As anticipated, visitor numbers were some 20% down, a consequence of a tough economic climate in the Japanese and American markets. Some 1,200 specialised journalists covered the Show, demonstrating international media interest in what is both a reflection of the newest trends and a hub for the prestige watch sector. At first glance, soliflores — fragrances replicating the scent of a single flower — might not seem worth much attention. Why spend money on something you can smell for real in the garden when there are so many interesting compositions out there? Where’s the art in that? Along the same lines, you might ask why photography or figurative painting are arts. After all, a photograph is just a two-dimensional picture of something real, even if it’s staged. Every day we probably see people who are walking Diane Arbus photographs, and a hike in a national park yields scores of Ansel Adams images. Give me a wig and I’ll show you Cindy Sherman. You’ve seen one circus freak or sunset and you’ve seen them all, right? I used to think so. Not any more. First of all, photography requires craft and vision. Antwerp, Belgium–The Dealers Organisation for Diamond Automated Quotes (DODAQ), an online exchange that allows polished diamonds to be globally traded like other commodities, launched today, according to a release from the site’s founders.
The Antwerp, Belgium-based trading platform, available at Exchange.DODAQ.com, offers two-way auctions for individual categories of polished diamonds, creating real-time spot prices and a cash market for diamonds. It also creates price transparency and, according to the release, allows the market to decide fair value, just as markets for stocks, currencies and other commodities are determined.
In addition, DODAQ is open to everyone, both inside and outside the diamond industry, which allows the stones to be recognized as an investment opportunity, like gold. (Full post Online cash market for diamonds launches…)

Jane Krakowski wore dramatic drop-hoop style earrings from Bochic to the 2009 Screen Actors Guild Awards. The earrings are crafted in 22-karat yellow gold and feature ruby studs and rubies at the center. Photo: Courtesy of D’Orazio and Associates. Los Angeles–It seems First Lady Michelle Obama has set a new style edict–one that’s extending all the way to Hollywood–with a number of starlets following her inaugural lead and choosing one-shoulder gowns to wear to last night’s Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards. To accentuate the look, actresses such as Teri Hatcher, Laura Linney and Evan Rachel Wood avoided adorning their necks and instead paired their asymmetrical gowns with drop earrings, rings or bracelets on one wrist.Hatcher chose jewels from Neil Lane, including earrings with lapis, onyx and diamond, plus diamond and sapphire rings, and a huge diamond and rock crystal bracelet, all set in platinum. This Omega Seamaster, worn by Vice President Joe Biden, retails for $2,080. Washington–The fashion choices of First Lady Michelle Obama have already generated much press, but for the watch industry, all eyes are on what type of timepieces the leader of the free world, and his second in command, put on every morning.President Barack Obama is already making news for cultivating a less-formal, rolled-up shirtsleeves environment at the White House, one that is a stark departure from the more formal dress code established by President Bush, who required staffers to wear business suits while on the clock. But Obama’s latest choice of timepiece is not just formal, it’s government-issued, with a Secret Service seal on it.Back in 2007, when Obama was still a U.S. (Full post Which watch brands do Obama, Biden wear?…)
